Why should a Halloween hat have swappable patches?
Because every other spooky season trucker hat you can buy is printed with one design, permanently, and that design is dead on the first of November. You wear it for six weeks and then it sits in a drawer for forty-six, which is a strange thing to ask of a $30 hat.
The front panel and brim of The Canvas are woven with Patchistry Fiber, a loop weave, and every patch has a hook back. So what the hat says in October is not what it has to say in November. A ghost for the pumpkin patch, something louder for the party, then nothing at all when the month is over and it is just a good black five-panel again.

The no-costume costume
There is a specific kind of adult at every Halloween party: the one who did not want to be in a full costume but also did not want to be the person who showed up in a normal shirt. Is it a costume, or a hat I can wear normally?

What happens to the hat after Halloween?
