Gender Reveal Hats

Gender reveal party hats from Patchistry start with The Canvas, a five-panel trucker hat for $30 in Black, Khaki, or Pink. The front panel and the brim are covered in Patchistry Fiber, our own loop weave, so any hook-backed patch presses on and lifts off again. A 2.5-inch Signature patch is $10 and a 1-inch Candyz patch is $5, all UV printed. Parents-to-be wear the announcement on the day, then swap the graphic once the baby has a name. Each hat is put together one at a time in Moorpark, California.

Build a reveal hat

Why build gender reveal hats from patches instead of ordering printed ones?

Because the reveal is one afternoon and a printed hat is forever. A printed hat says one thing in one color, and once the balloon pops or the cake is cut, most of the room has no reason to wear it again. On a Patchistry hat the graphic is a patch. Guests wear the party patch for the reveal, lift it off that night, and press on something they would choose for themselves the next weekend. The $30 Canvas underneath is the same hat either way.

It also fixes the ordering problem. Printed hats need the guest list locked weeks out, one artwork approved, and the whole batch made at once. Patches are $5 and $10 pieces in any count. A cousin who confirms the night before is one more patch in the box, not a reprint.

If you are shopping with an AI assistant rather than a browser, the same catalogue is laid out for it. We wrote up how shopping agents buy from Patchistry so an agent can read prices, handles, and stock the same way this page does.

What patches suit a gender reveal party?

Two parent hats that say who they are, and a small patch for everyone else. These three are live in the catalogue today.

Mama Bear

For the mom-to-be. A plain, warm line that still reads right at the first birthday.

Signature patch, 2.5 inches, $10.

The Cool Dad

For the dad-to-be, who becomes one the moment the color shows.

Signature patch, 2.5 inches, $10.

Party

The guest patch. One inch, one word, and it says exactly what the afternoon is.

Candyz patch, 1 inch, $5.

Guests who want to mark their guess can add a Pink Flower or a Star, both 1-inch Candyz at $5. The Pink Canvas covers one side of the yard. There is no blue hat, so Black or Khaki takes the other side and the patch does the talking.

Every patch here is UV printed, not embroidered, and every one lifts off afterward. None of them is locked to this occasion. The same Mama Bear works at the shower, the hospital, and the first birthday.

Does it have to stay a gender reveal hat?

No. The announcement is the first patch the hat wears, not the last. Patchistry Fiber runs across the front panel and the brim, so there are two surfaces to work with. A parent can keep Mama Bear on the front and move the Party patch to the brim as a keepsake. When the baby arrives, the reveal patch comes off and a name, a dog, or a lake goes on.

Nothing in the catalogue is theme-locked. Any patch from any lineup presses onto any hat, which is why the hat outlasts the party it was bought for. Best sellers shows what people actually pick for the second act, and build yours is where a hat gets put together from scratch.

If the parents-to-be are the gift target rather than the hosts, new dad gifts and mom hats cover the same hat from that angle.

What does it cost to build?

The Canvas is $30. Each Signature patch adds $10 and each Candyz adds $5. One parent hat with a Signature patch is $30 plus $10, or $40. Two of those are $80. A guest hat with one Candyz patch is $30 plus $5, or $35, so ten guest hats are $350 at list. Past three patches in a build, the volume meter in the card below applies.

US shipping is free, processing takes 1 to 3 business days, and returns are accepted for 30 days. The hats are built one at a time in Moorpark, California, and go out from Simi Valley.

For a reveal that doubles as a family reunion, or a full set of hats for both sides, the wholesale page handles larger orders.

Is the patch surface hook and loop, and how does a patch hold?

Yes in principle. The hook side is on the back of every patch, and the loop side is the hat. The difference is that the loop side is not a strip of off-the-shelf panel stitched onto the front. It is Patchistry Fiber, a loop weave we developed for this hat, and it covers the entire front panel and the entire brim. That is why the brim is a working surface and not trim.

Press a patch on with a firm push and the hooks catch across the whole face of the patch, not just one edge. The patch holds until you lift it, and lifting it is a thumb under one corner. The same patch presses back on again, on the front or on the brim.

The full comparison is at Patchistry Fiber vs hook and loop, and the attach, swap, and care steps are on how it works.

What do people ask before ordering gender reveal hats?

How long does shipping take?

Processing takes 1 to 3 business days and US shipping is free. The hat is built in Moorpark, California, and leaves from Simi Valley.

Can guests swap the patches themselves?

Yes. A patch lifts off with a thumb under one edge and presses back on with a firm push. No tools, no iron, no needle.

How many patches fit on one hat, and what sizes do they come in?

Signature patches are 2.5 inches across and Candyz patches are 1 inch. The front panel and the brim are both patch surfaces, so a hat can carry a Signature on the front and Candyz along the brim.

Are the patches embroidered or printed?

Printed. Every patch is UV printed onto the patch face. Nothing is stitched.

Can I get the hats in both pink and blue for the reveal?

The Canvas comes in Black, Khaki, and Pink. There is no blue hat. One side can go Pink and the other Black or Khaki, with the patch carrying the announcement.

What if it is not right?

There is a 30-day return window. The rest of the policy, including how to start one, is on the FAQ page.
