Mom Hats
Mom Hats
A Patchistry mom hat starts as The Canvas: $30, five panels, trucker cut, in Black, Khaki, or Pink. What goes on the front is a UV-printed patch that presses on and lifts off again, so the hat is the permanent half and the sentence on it is not. Five Signature patches carry the Moms tag — Strong as a Mother, Mama Bear, Tired as a Mother, All American Mother, and Hot Mom's Running Club — each $10 at 2.5 inches. Because the patch swaps and the hat does not, one $30 hat covers the school run, the gym, the Fourth of July, and the mornings that clearly call for "Tired as a Mother."
What makes a Patchistry mom hat different from a printed one?
Nothing is printed onto the hat itself. The front panel and the brim of The Canvas are covered in Patchistry Fiber, our loop weave, and every patch has a hook backing. Press one on; pull it off later and put a different one up. Nothing is sewn, ironed, or glued, and you never need a second hat.
That matters more here than in most categories, because "mom" is not one mood. The hat you want at a 7am drop-off is not always the hat you want on a Saturday long run or at a July barbecue. With this format you keep the hat and change the line on it.
Two things worth stating up front: the patches are UV printed in full color, and the attachment is not Velcro — that name belongs to another company. We spell the naming out on Patchistry Fiber vs Velcro. The order of operations, bare panel to finished hat, sits on How It Works.
Which mom patch should I get?
Pick by mood rather than by commitment, because at $10 each you are choosing what to wear this week, not what to wear forever. All five below are Signature patches: 2.5 inches, UV printed in full color, hook-backed, and interchangeable on the same hat.
Strong as a Mother — $10 · 2.5in
The statement one. It reads as a fact rather than a joke, which is why it carries a gym bag day, a race morning, and a gift for someone who just did something hard.
Mama Bear — $10 · 2.5in
The warm one. Protective without being loud.
Tired as a Mother — $10 · 2.5in
The funny one, and the honest one. It says the quiet part out loud, and it comes off again on the days she would rather it didn't.
All American Mother — $10 · 2.5in
The summer one. Fourth of July, the ballpark, the lake weekend — then it comes off in September and something else goes on.
Hot Mom's Running Club — $10 · 2.5in
The one with a wink in it. Stroller walks, run club, the 6am group text — it is the patch that turns a workout into a bit.
What is a good gift for a new mom?
Give a set rather than a slogan. That is what The Weekender is for — a Canvas and three patches on one line for $55 — so she gets the hat plus three ways to feel about the day. A patch is not a permanent decision. Three patches in a drawer only have to be right today.
It works for a baby shower for the same reason: the gift is addressed to her, not to the baby. Pair Mama Bear with Strong as a Mother and Tired as a Mother and you have covered the sweet version, the proud version, and the real version.
Same logic holds for Mother's Day and birthdays: the hat is the durable half of the gift, and the patches are the half you keep adding to later. US delivery is included, we turn orders around in one to three business days, and returns stay open a month.
Is a funny mom hat too much for everyday?
That question loses most of its force here, because the joke lives on the patch and not on the hat. "Tired as a Mother" can come off and something quieter can go up, and it is the same $30 hat underneath either way. You are never picking one version of yourself and living with it.
There is also a second surface to work with. The loop weave runs out onto the brim, not only across the front panel, so a Signature can hold the panel while a $5 Candyz mini rides the bill — or the front can stay bare and the hat can just be a hat.
How much does a mom hat cost, and how fast does it ship?
The Canvas is $30. Signature patches are $10 at 2.5 inches, Candyz minis are $5 at 1 inch, and the patch count moves the price: at three patches you save 10%, at five it is 15%, and at eight it is 20%. The Weekender is the pre-composed version of the same idea at $55. We do not charge for shipping inside the US.
The hats are put together one at a time in Moorpark, California, which is also why we are careful about arrival dates — we will not invent a delivery guarantee to close a sale. Colorways are three separate products: The Canvas in Black, Khaki, and Pink. All three take the same patches, so a household can own different colors and share one patch drawer.
Buying for a mom group, a team, or a shower party rather than one person? That is what wholesale and group orders are for. And if you would rather narrow the patch list before you start, open Best Sellers instead of the full catalog.
What else should I know before ordering a mom hat?
Four things settle most of it: the patches are printed rather than stitched, the attachment is Patchistry Fiber and not Velcro, the loop weave reaches the brim as well as the front panel, and there is a 30-day return window. The rest is below.
Are the mom patches embroidered?
No — the process is UV printing. All five mom designs are printed in full color onto a hook-backed patch, and the same is true of every patch Patchistry makes.
Is the hat Velcro?
No. Ours is called Patchistry Fiber, a loop weave of our own, and Velcro is another company's name. The patch backs are hook, the hat side is loop, and your hands are the only tool involved.
Can a patch go on the brim?
Yes. Patchistry Fiber reaches the brim as well as the front panel, so a 2.5-inch Signature can hold the panel while a 1-inch Candyz rides the bill.
What sizes and prices are the patches?
Signature patches are 2.5 inches and $10 each. Candyz minis are 1 inch and $5 each. The count matters too: at three patches you save 10%, at five 15%, and at eight 20%.
What if she does not like the color?
You have 30 days to send it back. The Canvas is $30 in Black, Khaki, and Pink, and every colorway takes the same patches.

Pick a colorway, then stack the patches that sound like her. Three patches is where the volume ladder starts.

Everyone builds their own hat, and the more hats in the cart the less each one costs. Nobody has to agree on a design, and nobody ends up with the hat they didn’t pick.
