Is there a cat mom hat too, or is this all dogs?
Both sides are covered. Cat Mom and Show me your Kitties are the cat-side Signatures, Dog Mom and Can I Pet That Dog? are the dog-side ones, and Stay Pawsitive plus Snack Security never commit to a species at all. The two $5 minis split the same way: one Cat, one Dog.

How do the patches stay on the hat?
The Canvas gives you two working surfaces, the front panel and the brim, and both are woven in Patchistry Fiber, a loop weave that grips the hook backing on every patch. Press one down and it stays; lift a corner and it comes off. No sewing, no iron, no adhesive, and nothing permanent about any arrangement you make.
The brim being a real second surface is what opens up a pet build. A 1-inch Cat or Dog mini can ride out on the bill while the 2.5-inch Signature holds the panel, which is one way to get both animals onto one hat.
