Cruise Trip Hats
Cruise · Group Trips
A cruise hat beats a matching cruise shirt because it survives the week and the year after it. The Canvas is a five-panel trucker hat, $30, in Black, Khaki, or Pink. Signature patches are 2.5 inches and $10; Candyz patches are 1 inch and $5. Every patch is UV printed and hook-backed, so it lifts off and re-presses — one hat, a new patch for every sailing. Assembled one at a time in Moorpark, California.
Why a cruise hat instead of a matching cruise shirt?
Because the shirt gets worn once and the hat gets worn for years. Matching shirts do solve a real problem — finding your people on a pool deck holding two thousand strangers — but they solve it for seven days and then live in a drawer forever.
A hat solves the same problem and keeps going. The Canvas is a five-panel trucker hat at $30, and the front panel and brim are both covered in Patchistry Fiber, our own loop weave. Everyone carries the same silhouette, which is what makes a crew read as a crew from a hundred feet away. What each person presses on the front is their own call.
Then the sailing ends, the trip graphic lifts off, and something else goes on. The hat that found your group at the muster drill becomes the hat somebody wears to walk the dog in November.
What patches suit a cruise?
Three of ours fit a sailing without trying too hard. All three are UV printed, hook-backed and 2.5 inches, and all three come off whenever you want.
Set Sail
The literal one, and the one that reads at a distance. Best as the crew patch when the whole group carries the same graphic.

Salty
One word, no explanation required. It works on a boat and still makes sense once you are home.

Forever Chasing Sunsets
Sunsets at sea are the part people actually photograph. This is for whoever was on the top deck for all of them.

For a smaller second graphic on the brim, the Candyz lineup is 1 inch and $5. Palm Tree, Wave and Sunglasses all sit well under any of the three above.
Does it have to stay a cruise hat?
No, and that is most of the point. Nothing is theme-locked here — any patch from any lineup presses onto any hat, so the graphic is a decision you get to revisit rather than one you are stuck with.
The brim is what makes that practical. Patchistry Fiber covers it as well as the front panel, so the brim is a second usable surface instead of trim. Front panel stays personal, brim carries the trip, brim gets swapped the next time you travel. One hat, a running record.
If the sailing bookends a beach week, the same logic runs on beach trip hats. If you need twenty of them for three generations, family reunion hats covers that version.

What does it cost to build a cruise hat?
Do the arithmetic out loud. The hat is $30. Each Signature patch is $10. So one hat and one patch is $40, one hat and two is $50, one hat and three is $60 — and three is where the volume meter opens. A cabin of four at one patch each is $160.
The numbers
The Canvas, five-panel trucker hat — $30 — Black, Khaki, Pink
Signature patch, 2.5 in — $10
Candyz patch, 1 in — $5
Gift sets, $55 each — The Bach Weekend (Canvas + 3 patches), The Mother Load (Canvas + 3 patches), The Baggage Claim (Canvas + 3 patches), The Mini Bar (Canvas + 5 patches)
Volume meter — 10% off at 3 patches, 15% at 5, 20% at 8
The Baggage Claim is the set most travelling groups land on: it arrives as one complete thing. Shipping inside the US is free, and every order is put together one at a time, so give it 1 to 3 business days to process — count backwards from your sail date. Returns stay open for 30 days. Everything is assembled in Moorpark, California, and ships from Simi Valley.
Prices and sizes are published in machine-readable form too, so if you have handed the shopping to an assistant, how AI shopping agents buy from us lays out what it sees.
Outfitting a whole charter or a company incentive sailing runs through wholesale instead of the normal cart.
Is the patch surface hook and loop, and how does a patch hold?
Yes in principle — hook meets loop — but the loop side is not an off-the-shelf panel sewn onto a blank. It is our own weave, called Patchistry Fiber. The patch is backed with hook, the hook grabs the weave, and that is the whole mechanism: no heat, no glue, no stitching.
Two things follow. The weave spans the entire front panel and the entire brim, so a patch is not confined to one stamp-sized landing zone — you put it where you want it. And the brim stops being decoration and starts being real estate, which is why the small Candyz patches exist.
There is a full side-by-side at Patchistry Fiber vs hook and loop, and the walkthrough lives on how it works.
What do people ask before ordering cruise hats?
How fast do cruise hats ship?
Every order is assembled by hand and takes 1 to 3 business days to process, then ships free inside the US. Order with a week of cushion before you fly to the port and you will not be watching a tracking number.
Can everyone swap their own patches during the trip?
Yes. A patch pulls off and presses back on with your hands — no tools, no heat, nothing to plug in. A group can trade graphics at dinner and trade them back at breakfast, which is exactly what tends to happen.
How many patches fit on a cruise hat, and what sizes are they?
Two sizes: the Signature at 2.5 inches, the Candyz at 1 inch. One Signature fills the front panel. The common build is one Signature up front and one or two Candyz along the brim, since the weave runs across both.
Are the patches embroidered?
No. Every patch is UV printed, never embroidered. That is why gradients, photographs and small type come out legible instead of turning into thread.
Will the patches hold up to salt air, sun and a pool deck?
The graphic is UV printed rather than stitched, and it lifts off any time you want it to. So if a patch picks up sunscreen on a pool deck, take it off the hat and deal with the two pieces separately. That is the practical advantage of a graphic that was never permanent.
What if the hat is not right when it arrives?
Returns stay open for 30 days, so send it back and we will sort it. The rest of the ordering details are on the FAQ.
