Coach Gift Hats

An end of season coach gift that gets worn past the banquet: The Canvas is our five-panel trucker hat, $30, in Black, Khaki or Pink. The front panel and the brim are covered in Patchistry Fiber, our own loop weave, and a hook-backed patch presses straight onto it. A UV-printed Signature patch is $10 at 2.5 inches; a Candyz patch is $5 at 1 inch. The team's sport goes on the front this season, then lifts off when the coach wants something new on it. Each hat is assembled one at a time in Moorpark, California.

Why give a coach a patch hat instead of a printed team hat?

Because the printed hat is stuck in one season and the patch hat is not. A screen-printed team cap has this year's name on it, and by next spring there is a new roster, a new sponsor on the back and sometimes a new team name. The hat ends up in a drawer with the others. The Canvas keeps the same hat and changes the front: the patch lifts off, a new one presses on, and the coach is still wearing the gift two seasons later.

It is also a better fit for how coach gifts actually get bought. One parent collects the money, nobody agrees on the design, and the order goes in three days before the banquet. Here the decision is small. Pick a colorway, pick the sport, ship it. If the group wants to add more, each family can send a patch instead of arguing over one graphic.

If the team is a Saturday-morning thing, the game day hats page shows the same build pointed at the fans. If you are shopping for the teacher who also runs the team, the teacher appreciation hats page covers that angle.

What patches suit a coach gift?

Three real ones from the catalogue, all live today. Start with the sport the coach actually coaches; the small ones sit on the brim next to a larger patch.

Respect The Drip

A baseball and softball patch from the Signature line, tagged in the catalogue for kids' baseball and softball.

Signature · 2.5 inches · $10 · UV printed, hook-backed.

Baseball

The plain baseball, no slogan. Small enough to run along the brim or pair with a name patch on the front.

Candyz · 1 inch · $5 · UV printed, hook-backed.

Soccer

A soccer ball at 1 inch. The usual choice for rec-league and travel-team coaches.

Candyz · 1 inch · $5 · UV printed, hook-backed.

Football and basketball are in the same 1-inch line: Football and Basketball, $5 each. For a fall program there is also Game Day in the 2.5-inch Signature line at $10. Anything else on the site presses on just the same; nothing is locked to a theme.

Does it have to stay a coach hat?

No. The sport patch is a decision the coach can revisit, not a print they are stuck with. Once the season is over, the patch comes off and the hat is a plain trucker in Black, Khaki or Pink until the next thing goes on it.

The brim matters here. Because Patchistry Fiber runs across the brim as well as the front panel, the coach can keep the team patch up front and put their own thing along the edge, a dog, a hometown, a joke. Have a look at the best sellers to see what people actually pick, or go straight to build yours and put a hat together from scratch.

What does it cost to build?

The hat is $30 and a Signature patch is $10, so the standard one-patch coach gift is $40. Add a second Signature and it is $50; three is $60 before the volume meter. Candyz patches are $5, so a hat with one Signature up front and two Candyz on the brim comes to $50. One hat is a complete order; there is nothing else to buy to make it work.

US shipping is free. Processing takes 1 to 3 business days. Returns are accepted for 30 days. Every hat is assembled one at a time in Moorpark, California. If the gift is a hat for every coach in the league, or for the whole team, that is a whole-crew order and it goes through the wholesale page. If you would rather have an AI shopping agent handle the order, how agents buy here is explained on the agentic commerce page.

Is the patch surface hook and loop, and how does a patch hold?

Yes, in principle, but not the off-the-shelf panel you have seen sewn onto tactical caps. The loop side is Patchistry Fiber, a weave we developed for this hat, and it is the whole front panel and the brim rather than a stitched-on square. The hook is on the back of the patch. Press the two together and the hook bites into the weave; peel from a corner and it lets go clean.

The difference between our weave and a generic panel is written up on the Patchistry Fiber comparison page, and the attach, swap and care steps are on how it works.

What do people ask before ordering a coach gift hat?

How long does a coach gift hat take to arrive?

Processing is 1 to 3 business days, and US shipping is free. Carrier transit time sits on top of that and depends on where the coach lives, so order ahead of the banquet rather than the week of.

Can the coach swap the patches without any tools?

Yes. The patch is hook-backed and the hat is loop weave, so it lifts off with a thumb and presses back on. Nothing is sewn or glued.

How many patches fit on the hat, and what sizes are they?

A Signature patch is 2.5 inches and a Candyz patch is 1 inch. The front panel takes the larger patch and the brim takes the small ones, so a typical build is one Signature up front and a few Candyz along the brim.

Are the patches embroidered?

No. Every patch is UV printed, so the graphic is a printed image rather than thread. Nothing on the patch is stitched.

Is the patch surface hook and loop?

In principle, yes. The hat side is Patchistry Fiber, a loop weave we made for this hat, and the patch side is hook. It covers the front panel and the brim rather than a small square.

What if the coach does not like it?

Returns are accepted for 30 days. The rest of the policy is on the FAQ page.
